Exactly, they have 6 runs on 4 hits. The 3 errors have killed us.

error that cost us 3 runs, 0-4 and the last out coming with 2 runners in scoring position, Chipper has cost us the game and basically cost himself another postseason run, and honestly I don't feel bad for him at all, if it was someone else's fault then I'd feel bad for him but not like this

Braves should have bases loaded with 1 out here in the 8th, Simmons popped a ball up to short LF, Cards LF and SS miss comunicate on who was catching the ball, the ball drops, but 3b ump Sam Holbrook called the infield fly rule, Simmons out. Fredi argues to no avail, Braves fans throwing debris on the field.

This game is under protest, MLB has 24 hrs to review the game, the call Sam Holbrook made, and make a decision.

MLB will not rule in our favor on the protest. Call was indeed wrong, but they will say it is a judgment call. They may go so far as to say the call was "likely" wrong, but won't go far enough to rule in our favor.

Goodbye Chipper. I have enjoyed watching you all these years. Job well done. Enjoy your retirement.

This is unreal, umps screw us over and MLB won't even listen to our protest, I guarantee you that if that happens to the Yankees or Red Sox the MLB takes their protest seriously and maybe even overturns the call; large market bias in sports completely disgusts me

I understand the anger. But bottom line is, Atlanta put themselves in a big hole with 3 errors. 3 very costly runs scoring errors. And that is their own fault. Maybe our rally was cut off by a bad call, but we would not have been in the predicament of needing to rally but for the bad fielding. Honestly, I dont think Atlanta can say they were screwed out of the win. The call was bad. Maybe a rally would have gotten us some runs. But bases loaded with 1 out is no sure things. A grounder would have been a double play, and Mac is a slow runner. But regardless, the deficit was of their own doing. Atlanta lost. Our season is over.

Still can't believe our season is over. Offense and defense to blame. I really thought this team had a shot at the World Series.

Return to Atlanta Braves
