Will the bell toll for Pendleton?

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Aug 3, 2007 11:29 pm

Who will succeed Kansas City Royals manager Buddy Bell in 2008?

At the top of the list is Atlanta Braves hitting coach Terry Pendleton.

Royals bench coach Billy Doran also could be a candidate after serving as Bell's interim replacement last season for the final 10 games.

I hope Terry stays a Braves and he's already said during the past that he hates to travel. Maybe he's waiting for Bobby to retire.

He has been close in previous jobs and from all accounts, has the makings to be a good manager. I hope he gets the job in Kansas City, but I would hate to see him leave because he has done a really good job as the hitting coach.

I selfishly hope he stays, but he has a chance to manage a team. If I were him, I'd go for it.

Even though it's the Royals. They have a tendency to suck, as we've seen over the past 15 years or so.

I'd like to see him step in when Bobby retires.

Return to Atlanta Braves
