Braves DFA'd Folty after the game. Without Hamles and King Felix, we have no pitching depth. Newcomb didn't show much promise in his start Sunday night.

The lack of depth is a huge concern. With the limited games this season I doubt we pursue a big trade to add depth. I hope I'm wrong so we'll see.

The lack of depth makes it even more important that Wright and Bryce Wilson take advantage of their opportunities.

I saw a picture of Folty this year vs last year. He's lost a lot of weight. I just hope he's ok.

Rays won 5-2. Wright couldn't get out of the 3rd, just like Folty the night before. We have no depth behind Soroka and Fried. AA counted on young guys to fill the rotation too much. Newcomb, Wilson and Touki are bullpen guys, not starters. Folty was DFA'd. Wright and Anderson aren't ready. Hamles injured, Felix opted out. Should have kept Teheran or Kuechel, instead of hoping young arms would fill back of rotation.

Side note: Ugly stat, in 47 innings played, Braves batters have struck out 64 times.

I think they're going to that piggyback method of using starters for only 3 innings or so. I guess at some point, they might use Ian Anderson and Kyle Muller.
