Touki's living up to the high expectations and having his best pro season - and did real well in his first AAA start. I was always skeptical about his high walk rate. It's still high, but it's managable - especially with his impressive 112 SO's in 92.2 innings this year (with 39 walks), 2.82 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. Just turned 22 last month.

And I think Wentz, Muller and Anderson are all just 20 years old - all outstanding prospects. That kind of very young pitching talent is a reason why we don't sweat it too much when the Braves didn't sign Carter Stewart.

Re: It's All About The Minor Leagues
I've been hesitant in the past about including Allard in a trade, but after doing some research and reading, I'm more open to it. Wright, Gohara and now Ian Anderson have jumped in the Braves top 30 prospects. He's also dropped in the top 100 prospects list. His avg on his fast ball is lower than most of our top pitching prospects. His is in the 88-92 range. His K numbers are low too, only 79 in 97.1 IP. Wentz and Fried aren't that far behind in jumping him in ranks as well.
Once thought of as an Ace/#2, he's now looking like a 4/5.

Yeah, I also heard that about Allard's fastball - I think from Keith Law. That's hard to swallow. I mean, he's still a 20 year old lefty doing real well in AAA, and that's a rarity. My gut says the Braves should keep him.

And yesterday Bryse Wilson also got promoted to AAA. I don't hear much about him outside of this forum, but I think he's quietly becoming one of the top pitching prospects in baseball. Gwinnett's having a double-header today, and both Wright and Wilson are scheduled to make their debuts - pretty cool.

Re: It's All About The Minor Leagues
It's crazy - the quality of pitching prospects that have been on Gwinnett's roster this season - Wright, Wilson, Soroka, Allard, Toussaint, Fried... even Lucas Sims and Wes Parsons were decent. But those first 6 guys... I'm guessing that'll go down in history.

The double-header rain-out yesterday messed things up. There's just a single game today, and Wright is scheduled to make his AAA debut - not sure when Wilson will make his.
