2021 Braves Gameday Thread...

Ronald Acuña Jr. is considered day-to-day after an MRI revealed a mild abdominal strain.

Well, that's the best news the Braves and fantasy managers could have asked for here. Acuña was forced to exit Sunday's game due to the injury, but it appears he will be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. Just expect to be without him for the early part of this week, at the very least.

Braves manager Brian Snitker confirmed Tuesday that Mike Soroka (shoulder) has yet to resume throwing.

Soroka is over his Achilles tendon strain, but he felt discomfort in his right shoulder while working out at the Braves' alternate training site earlier this month and the 23-year-old remains in shutdown mode here on April 20. It sounds like his projected 2021 season debut may have to be pushed back to at least mid-to-late May, and that's assuming there are no setbacks once he does resume throwing. Not good.
