Linebrink was the set up man for Pads when they had Trevor Hoffman . Nice vet addition to the pen . Bullpen is shaping up nicely ,

Love this trade. I know Linebrink has struggled but he was pitching in arguably the best hitter's park in baseball and in the American League. Considering the career resurgance that Billy Wagner and Saito had last season, I can see Linebrink having a very good season and providing solid veteran leadership for the young guns.

Chi Sox sending more than $ 3 mil to Braves to pay for Linebrink's 5 .5 mil 2011 salary .

Braves are indeed getting $3.5 mill from White Sox (which is "more than half of Linebrink's $5.5 mill, right? At least I had that right.) about 1 hour ago via TweetDeck DOB of AJC

Getting Linebrink and having to pay only $2 mil of his $5.5 is a great deal. Really helps with the BP. Another fine move Mr. Wren!

I must applaud Mr. Wren for this trade. Wow! I feel good about the BP right now and especially since the White Sox are paying a great deal of his contract.
