ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Braves are close to signing George Sherrill. Frank Wren is certainly having a very productive off-season and certainly seems to be making some moves. I'm sure he'll come cheap after a down season with the Dodgers and factoring in the Braves usual home-town discount.

I think both Linebrink and Sherrill will have bounce back seasons. This pen is stacked .

Kimbrel
Venters(L)
Linebrink
Sherrill(L)
Moylan
EOF (L)
Proctor/Beachy whoever wins job in spring training.

That is certainly some nice bullpen depth. It looks like today is the day of former Braves signing elsewhere. Frenchy to the Royals. Diaz to the Pirates. Mike Hampton just signed with the Diamondbacks. Roachy was close to signing with the Nationals earlier.

So glad Frenchy and Diaz did not go to the Phillies.

True that. Another former Brave getting attention is Derrek Lee , Angles appear to be the leader to sign him .

I heard D-Lee tied to the Padres. Pondered by the Angels interest considering Morales will be back for this season. Unless they'd bring him in to DH?
