Series Thread: Braves (3-3) vs. Brewers (2-4)

Can't wait for the series against the Brewers, this is always my favorite series of the year because it's the one time (except for this year because of my travel to spring training) that I can watch the Braves play in person. Not going to today's game because it'll be full of drunk and obnoxious Brewers fans that are only there for tailgating. Going to Tuesday and Wednesday night's games.

Hoping the Braves can take 3 out of the 4 games, if they can do that they'll be in good shape heading home.

Braves Line-Up Today:

Prado
McLouth
Chipper
Uggla
Heyward
Gonzalez
Freeman
Ross
Beachy

This will make my wife happy. B-Mac is her favorite player and he'll be in the line-up for the days we are there.

Awesome pitching by Beachy. Clutch home runs by Prado and Uggla off of Takashi Saito in the 8th to win this game 2-1.

Solid 2011 debut for Beachy

6 IP 4 H 1 R 1 ER 1 BB 7 K No decision

Beachy got into a few jams and got out of them. Only mistake was a solo HR by Weeks in the 3rd inninng. Prado and Uggla hit solo HR's in the 8th. Kimbrel struck out the side to pick up his 2nd save of 2011.

I could only go by the box score refreshing every few minutes, but I was excited to see Beachy pitch well, and the two solo homeruns. Nice way to start off the series!

I too was watching the dots move on MLB Game Day. Being in Orlando don't get to see too many games on tv anymore, now that Braves are no longer on TBS. Only see games on tv if on ESPN, MLB Network or whey they play the Marlins(hate it, have to listen to Marlins announcers).

Lowe vs Gallardo tomorrow.

I signed up for MLB.tv last year for the first time and it's excellent. Well worth $100 compared to watching dots move all season. Plus, bought the iPhone app so I can listen to the games when I'm driving/at work and watch the games when I'm not near a computer. It sucks to have to spend $100 a season but considering it costs that much to go to one game, and it's good for the whole season, it's justifiable.

TBS selling out and not airing Braves games anymore was a dagger to my heart.

1-0 Brewers at the moment.

It's time for us to get on the board!

Offense has managed one hit vs Gallardo. Hopefully they get something going and don't spoil this outing by Lowe.

Prado and Uggla throw out runners at home, to keep it a one run game in bottom of 8th.

Brewers win 1-0 on CG 2 hit shutout by Gallardo, Braves offense wasted a solid outing from Lowe.

We'll get 'em tomorrow. Minor will be starting in place of Jurrjens(on DL).

It sucked that the Braves couldn't put one run on the board but Gallardo was dealing last night and breaking bats left and right. Had 10th row seats behind home plate and got a Tommy Hanson autograph before the game.

Hoping Minor pitches well and expecting that the Braves offense can get something going off of Sergio Mitre.

I guess Estrada is going to be making the start for the Brewers instead today.

Not a good start for Braves, Prado lead off with a dbl, two batters later Chipper dbl'd, Prado scored. Chipper tried to score from 2b on a Mac single, thrown out at home.

Minor walked bases loaded(12 pitches, 1 strike), Prince with a 2 rbi single

Currently 2-1 Brewers, 0 out

Very bumpy outing from Minor, 4.1 IP 7 H 5 R 5 ER 4 BB 2 K

Brewers lead 4-1 in the 5th

In 6th inning back to back singles by Chip and Mac, Uggla popped out, J Hey hit 3 run HR

Brewers lead 5-4, should be a tied game though, a Brewers hitter(can't remember who) hit a single to RF, Heyward threw home as Fielder tried to score, Mac got the tag on his hip. Ump called him safe, replays showed he was out and ump was in bad location to view it, he got himself blocked by Mac, couldn't see the tag.
