Chris Volstad vs Tommy Hanson tomorrow. Hopefully the off day was good to these guys, need the offense to get rolling.

Tommy Hanson needs to have a strong outing tomorrow. It would be nice if he can shut the Marlins down since the offense has been struggling. We need to win this series!

Well the offense needs to give him run support. Last yr he got the least amount of run support on the staff, should have had a better record if the team scored runs.


So far the team is averaging 2.1 runs per game in support of the starting 5. Hard to win games when you score that little.

After a Prado single in the 3rd, Nate just missed a 2 run HR to CF, gets rbi dbl. Chipper knocks in Nate with a bloop single to CF.

2-0 Braves going into the 4th, Hanson has looked good to this point.

Heyward with a solo HR to CF


3-0 Braves going into the 5th.

Prado leads off the 5th with a dbl down LF line, Nate with a sac bunt to get Prado to 3b, Chipper with a sac fly to score Prado, Mac follows with a solo HR to RCF.

5-0 Braves going into the 6th.

Braves win 5-0, solid outing from Hanson and the pen. Good to see Tommy get some run support.

Josh Johnson vs Tim Hudson tomorrow. I see this game being a 3-2 or 2-1 type game, hopefully we are the team with more runs.

Marlins score 5 runs off Hudson in first two innings. Josh Johnson with a no hitter thru 7 innings and 9 strikeouts .

Freeman broke up Johnson's no-no with a dbl in the 8th, Chipper breaks up the shutout with solo HR in 9th.

Braves lose 5-1

Chipper's solo HR in the 9th gives him 1,500 for his career.

We must put this one behind us.

Now, I just hope Beachy pitches well, and we provide him with some run support.
