LHP Sean Gilmartin FSU,

http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-braves-blo ... rst-round/

This guy is similar to Mike Minor with slightly more upside. Is one of the most MLB ready pitchers in this draft. Has a good fastball, not great but good, a plus change up and a good slider. Went 12-1 with a 1.83 era struck out 122 batters while walking 20 in 113 1/3 IP this season at FSU. He struck out 11 batters 4 times this yr, including a career high 13 Ks vs Duke.
Gilmartin has been FSU's Ace the last 2 seasons. He has pitched well for FSU in big games and post season games.

The Twins and Rays along with the Braves were very high on Gilmartin. He said he's glad he was drafted by an NL team, because he loves to hit, kinda like Tim Hudson.

Glad he's been signed.

His fast ball is 88-91 mph. How much do you think he can improve it while being able to keep control of it? He has very bright future and I think it's going to help him that we drafted him.
