The Beltran disaster

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Wed Aug 17, 2011 7:39 pm

Lets take a look back at the Beltran fiasco near the deadline, the Mets want top prospects for Carlos Beltran who's a rental, everyone refuses to give up those prospects including the Braves who wouldn't think of giving up Minor or the other "Fantastic Four" and the Mets weren't gonna blink, as a result the Giants eventually give up top prospect Zach Wheeler for a chance at a world series push. Now lets look at today: Beltran got injured and the Giants look like they aren't gonna make the playoffs. The end result is that the Giants gave up a top prospects for a rental thats injured and it looks like they aren't making the playoffs. So I just wanna give props to Wren who wasn't gonna blink and who didn't set our team back for years to come. YOU MAD GIANTS FANS lol

Wren has done a fine job for Atlanta. Sometimes we question what he is doing or not doing, but he has earned our trust that he knows what he is doing.

Not to boast, but I put him in my do-not-draft list in all my pre-draft rankings this year. Way overvalued.
