Their have been reports that Jair Jurjjens was on the block, so I wanted to get your opinions on what we could get for the Ace

He really isn't a ace to me that's why I think a guy like Jair along with Prado or a high prospect would be a good trade to get a SS like Tulowiski from the Rockies.

Jair is apparently overrated by many Atlanta fans. I think all we can expect is a prospect that is close to a sure thing. As far as current players go, I think we can acquire a proven bat, but not the value that you may think. Teams possibly view him as an injury risk and the small market teams won't want to deal with Scott Boras.

Think the Yanks would be open to a Jurrjens for Swisher swap ? Then pull off a trade for Marlon Byrd. Swisher, Byrd, Heyward outfield looks pretty good.

Why would we trade for Byrd considering we have Michael Bourn and both of their contracts expire at the end of this season? Plus Bourn is a much better player than Byrd.
The Yankees would totally be down with a Jurrjens for Swisher swap, but it would be a terrible move for the Braves as Swisher is making $10 million and signed for 1 year while Jurrjens has two years of control and is the better player. Braves are looking for a "Zack Greinke" like haul for Jurrjens and Swisher does not qualify in the least. They especially want one blue-chip sure-fire prospect for Jurrjens.

Bourn is a FA and a Boras client. They are no guarantees he re-signs.

Bourn is a FA after this year and Byrd is as well. Maybe we could talk about signing Byrd when he's a free agent after this year, but trading for him now makes no sense at all. Swisher is also a free agent after this year and will likely be too expensive to re-sign as well. Not sure what point you're trying to make.

Didn't know that, so he is guaranteed to be on the Braves for 2012 ?
