Why not ? If he just makes minor moves, I can see this a 95 win team. 3 keys to this,

1) Prado and Heyward need to have a bounce back seasons. Hitting like we know they can.
2) Can the young guys in starting 5, stay healthy and consistent. Remember, Derek Lowe is not on the team.
3) Upgrade the bench. We know Ross and Hinske will return.

CF Bourn
LF Prado
3b Chipper
C Mac
2b Uggla
1b Freeman
RF Heyward
SS Pastornicky

95 wins is most likely a playoff team and in 3 of the last 5 years it has been enough to win the division so that is not a bad outlook, but it is not ambitious either. I personally don't think the responsible thing to do is to depend on a 3rd year player in Heyward being better than ever, a 2nd year player like Freeman duplicating his rookie of the year caliber year considering Heyward could not do it. A bunch of young pitchers who faltered down the stretch like Kimbrel and Ventors being as good as last year. A bunch of injury prone pitchers being injury free this year. (Jair and Hanson) Chipper staying healthy or being healthier and a rookie SS performing at a big league level, plus another pitcher that has never been in the rotation stepping in, staying injury free and being productive. (Lowe is gone)

I personally think it is irresponsible to be looking at all these if's and do nothing. I hope it works out but it is not the responsible thing for management to do. You have to have some type of vision to be a successful GM.Only thing I see is someone trying to say, we need more from this guy and that guy, instead of actually managing your assets.

95 wins is a playoff team for sure, remember there are now 2 wild card teams instead of one. I think we can definitely win 95 if we avoid the injury bug.

I dont see this team as one that will win 95. But I hope I'm wrong. But Wren earned my trust, so I am having faith he knows things that the rest of us dont. But it is also his legacy in ATL which is at stake. If he sits pat and this proves to be a bad year, then it is his head that could be on the chopping block, along with Fredi G.'s.

I just see the Phillies as still kings of the Division, and the Fish improved greatly, and have always played ATL tough. The Nationals get back a healthy pitcher who can strike out most players, and Bryce Harper finally gets his shot this year. Really, only the Mets wont be getting any better. So ATL, if they dont intend on adding anyone, better hope like heck that the disappointing players last season bounce back strong. Otherwise, this will not be a fun year.

Co-sign, but hope is not what a manger does. He manages.
