Not concerning the Braves, but MLB lost Stan "The Man" Musial today. He was 92. Another true legend of the game passes on. He was great and he will be missed. RIP Stan.

David O'Brien says that Wren has spoken to Boras about the possibility of resigning Bourn and that Fredi has spoken to Bourn himself. He also says that us and the Rangers are the last 2 players in play for Justin Upton. This is great to hear. We're gonna be contenders if we get either one of those guys

AJC blog, people posting and someone heard Teheran, Ahmed and perhaps Gilmartin. Pretty good haul for the D Backs, but probably fair value. I could deal with that one.

Graham AND Teheran is too much to give up for anyone not named Trout. Wren cannot and I think will not deal them both. It is one or the other. Cannot give up both of your Top 2 Pitching prospects.

MLB Network mentions offer may be Teheran, Ahmed and Gattis. Did not mention Gilmartin or Graham. If Wren could pull off the trade as above, I would be thrilled. It is giving up a lot, but I think Atlanta comes out for the better. Upton for those 3 prospects, who are good, dont get me wrong, but that deal favors Atlanta.

Deal agreed upon pending physical, Delgado and others(don't know yet) to ARZ. Teheran is staying with the Braves.

Final deal is Justin Upton and Chris Johnson for Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, Nick Ahmed, Zeke Spruill, and Brandon Drury.

Shocked to see Prado in the deal but guessing he wouldn't talk about a contract extension and wanted to test free agency (or at least his agent did).

Great deal for Atlanta. Prado was wanting much more money for an extension than we could give him. Just a real good job by Wren!

Mets are trying to get a waiver to sign Bourn without having to give us their pick as compensation.

I honestly don't know why we're still talking about this!! Rules are rules, and the rules say that unless your pick is top 10 you have to give it up for compensation and the Mets' pick is #11 PERIOD. This is pissing me off so much that the Mets are trying to bend the rules!! Either sign Bourn and give us your dam pick or don't sign him, it's that simple!!

If MLB gives the Mets a waiver to sign and not give up the #11 pick, I would hope there would be some recourse for the Braves to fight it. I can see MLB bending the rules for a NY team.
