Braves beat the Nats again 5-2, Colon was solid before rain delay. Good job by the bullpen after delay.

I think the Adams trade was one of those "good for both teams" moves. Adams is a solid all-around 1st baseman who's supposedly in much better shape than he's been in in the past - he's had weight problems. And he was one of the best pinch-hitters in baseball last year - so he'll have a role when Freeman comes back. St. L didn't have a role for him this year. This pretty much knocks Loney out of the picture since they're both lefty hitters. Yepez was having a poor season, but he's just 19 and has shown upside.

I like that we didn't give up a top 30 prospect, all though I suspected it would be a lower one. The Braves said they will keep Loney at AAA and see how it goes, could be called up when rosters expand.

Our Braves have been playing good baseball as of late.
Pittsburgh will be a fun series to watch. I hope we win as an underdog tonight.

R.A. Dickey takes the mound for us today. He'll need a better performance on the mound today compared to when he faced Pittsburgh earlier this season. GO BRAVES!!

Matt Adams adds a game winning single to his name, a missile to LF! What a crazy game, an over three hour rain delay trailing 3-2, then take the lead 4-3 and then Jim Johnson blows the save and trailing 5-4 in the Ninth before Markakis doubled in Inciarte with two outs to tie it again leading to Adams latest heroics! The game ended just before 2 am est, I would have hated to blow this game and lose with Teheran's bum ass (at home) pitching tonight.

The Braves had a 5-3 lead after 8 innings, then our bullpen happened. Ramierz allowed 2 runs in the 9th for Pittsburgh to tie the game and Collmenter allows 7 runs on 6 hits and 3 consecutive HRs in the 10th, as Pitt pulls away with a 12-5 win. :banghead:
