It's good to see him starting off well.
I hope it's a sign of things to come during the upcoming season. We need him to be the star that he's been projected to be for so long.

I'd like to play meaningful baseball into September this year but I'm not seeing it with our team. I can't wait to see us showcase the youngsters but we legitimately have nobody to bat cleanup and to protect Freddie Freeman in our lineup, and our rotation looks inexperienced and very shaky. I hope we dip into this FA pool a little bit and sure up these holes... although I doubt that'll happen.

Sean Newcomb has won the 4th spot in the starting rotation.

The 5th spot in the rotation is up for grabs between Scott Kazmir and Anibal Sanchez.


They'll be joining Julio Teheran, who was named opening day starter for the 5th straight year, Mike Foltynewicz and Brandon McCarthy.

In a not surprising move, the Braves reassigned Ronald Acuna to AAA. It's really a no brainer, the Braves gain an extra year of contract control, by doing this.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in on new Brave Ryan Flaherty since I've followed him for lots O years. Strictly a utility infielder, but a great baseball guy who gives 100% 100% of the time. Oustanding defenisively at 3B, very good at 2nd base, and somewhat adequate (to be kind) at SS. Doesn't make mistakes defensively. Strictly a fastball hitter with occasional pop, and he's not going to help there with any consistency. Quiet guy that everyone liked at Baltimore. Btw, his nickname is Flash - probably meant sarcasitcally because he's not fast - but it stuck.
