Mets won 3-0 last night. It was a hell of a scoreless pitching duel for 5 innings between deGrom and Necomb. Then I went to bed. Luke Jackson and Kyle Wright combined to allow 3 runs late, out of the pen.

Mets win 4-1, have outscored the Braves 7-1 in their back to back wins.

This is a crazy stat, because walks and HRs kill his record and ERA.

Ozzie Albies, Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis all have 40 doubles this year, and this is the first time in franchise history three Braves reached that mark in a single season.

Folty - 5 innings, 1 hit, no walks, 9 K's, and 76 pitches. This time, I can understand Snit pulling him. Folty has definitely established himself as one of the top starters in baseball. We'll need him for 2 games in the World Series.

Actually last night Folty bettered Teheran and Maddux, finishing with an opponents' average to .195 on the season.

I also think that it's the first time that the Braves have had to pitchers to finish the season with an opponents' average under .200 for a season.

The Braves had 2 on with 1 out and then bases loaded with 2 outs in the 2nd and couldn't score.

Fu**ing Venters! No score in the 7th, each team had 2 hits. Venters comes in, 4 pitch walk, infield single, sacrifice to pitcher, IBB, 2 RBI single, walk, fielders choice to SS. It's now 3-0 Philly :banghead:

We need to win tonight and tomorrow for home field advantage.

I admire the year Teheran had - considering he no longer has the fastball he used to. He's basically been a 90-91 MPH fastballer this season, and he used to be mid-90's. He's just not the great talent he used to be. He doesn't give in, and that means a lot of walks. And when his control is off a little, he's in trouble. It's probably unlikely he regains velocity, but he is just 27. I think the same happened to Sanchez when he was younger. It's amazing how well Sanchez has rebounded this year considering he really fell off the previous 3 seasons.
