Wow, it's really started. And Soroka vs DeGrom! Both of our catchers are out with flu-like symptoms (tested negative though), so we got 2 new rookie catchers. That can't be good for Soroka. Scoreless in the 2nd.

Scoreless after 3 - each team with 1 hit. Soroka's faced the minimum 9 batters - pitch count at 33, while DeGrom is at 50.

DeGrom's stuff is awesome. His changeup is as fast as Soroka's fastball.

Scoreless gem after 6. Exciting last out to the 6th with Soroka vs Alonzo. Soroka got away with a couple of pitches in the middle of the plate and got Alonzo to reach on a 3-2 pitch.

It's frustrating watching Riley swing at pitches outside the strike zone - just like last season. If he stops doing that, he's probably an all-star, but he's gotta change the way he approaches at bats.

Mets win 1-0. Cespedes solo HR in the 7th off of Martin. deGrom and Soroka dueled 7 innings of scoreless ball. Braves had 2 chances late, but couldn't capitalize.

I feel like we would generate some offense deGrom came out of the game.

Tomorrow will be better.

Top of the 9th with two outs we HR to tie. Everything was even more exciting after that. Hell of a win.
