Well the doubleheader didn't go good. The Braves are 4.5 back, so it's buy or sell. I say buy, the Mets are a mess and Philly isn't anything special either. If AA could get another bat and a closer, I think the Braves could make a close push.

I think we also need to think about next year. Acuna will miss most of the season, I'd like to re-sign Joc and hopefully we get an OF'er at deadline who is under contract past this season. Otherwise we are looking at Heredia/Pache/Waters/?? next season.

I saw a deal rumored of Pache and de la Cruz for Gallo. Would you do it for 1.5 season of Gallo?

I'd feel a lot better with Joc and Gallo in the OF next year.

It would probably take more than that to get Kimbrel or an Ian Kenndey might be cheaper.

Jim Bowden of the Athletic, has proposed a trade where the Braves land Berrios, Rogers and Buxton from the Twins. I'm not a subscriber to the Athletic, so I don't know who he has going back to the Twins. He believes that the Braves have the prospects to get this trade done.
A trade that big would have to include Pache and or Waters.

Gallo strikes out a ton, but no doubt - he's a stud. And he's a real good RFer. When he's on, he's an MVP type player. He was off last season - but still won a Gold Glove. Yes, I would trade Pache and de la Cruz for him.

Seems like we've been 4 or 5 games behind the Mets all season - now at 4 - just close enough to stay buyers. We need a long winning streak - I don't think we've had one yet - probably need to add a top OF bat to do it.

The Braves get Adam Duvall, Eddie Rosario, Jorge Soler and Richard Rodriguez at the deadline.

I like it.
I hope we make the bullpen solid this off-season. Still hoping we pass the Mets to make the playoffs.

Yeah, Bryse Wilson did seem like the only player given up that really figured in their plans - I think he's gonna be a good one - but Rich Rodriquez makes such a big difference. It's weird, because he doesn't have dominating stuff, but he seems to be able to place the ball wherever he wants, and he has a real presence about him that makes me believe in him.

3 WS homers that gave the Braves the lead - amazing. He might only end up being a Brave for half a season, but he did enough to be a hero for life in Atlanta. And he'll be making a lot of money for someone next season.
