Carlos Z and the Cubs come to ATL for a two game homestand. Lets not be the team that lets Big Z turn his season around (7.88 ERA so far, ouch!) and keep our bats hot. Davies is going to need some run support, so lets jump out to an early lead.

Go Braves!

"This guy's your ace," Piniella told the Cubs' official team Web site. "You've got a 5-0 lead with the eighth and ninth hitters coming up. You feel pretty good about that inning. All of a sudden, it turns into a six-run inning. What do I do? I pitch (Zambrano) when it's his turn again. What else can I do?"

Finally some out of division games. We know what we can do against the division this is where we'll really know what we have on our team and how far we will go.

We have alot of home games early as good as we're playing on the road I'd rather be on the road early and at home down the stretch.

You guys are gonna have your hands full with Big Z.

As will everyone else in the NL. All we have to do is stay close til late in the game, their bullpen is not that scary. Besides Z hasn't been exactly lights out yet hopefully he isn't tonight either.

Another positive thing about tonight's game, Soriano is not playing. That is one less bat to have to worry about. Just a side note, Michael Barrett, the Cubs catcher, will be coming home tonight. He was a first round pick out of Pace Academy (my high school) in Atlanta in 1994. He's my boy, so I have to name drop

Should be a good test for a bats (or a bad one) I'm excited to see Davies, I really think he can solidify himself as our 3rd man.

So far so good. Our bats are alive and we have the lead going into the 6th.

Why does Villareal ever come in in the 7th when we have a lead? Why not Gonzalez?
Good win though.

Bobby feels Gonzalez has been struggling lately and want to give him a break, but come down the stretch the 7th will be his. Hell of a win, everytime Wick comes in I get so happy to know that we have someone coming out to handle the 9th.
