Well fellas, Redman is pitching, and Rich Hill has been outstanding this year (2-0, 0.64 ERA). I'd like to hand hill has first loss of the year.

Go Braves!

News and Notes:

Game Preview
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview;_ylt=Agp9HZJAuZV1rE2Ks.Pyr2UR0bYF?gid=270419115
The Braves signed Redman in March to help out an injury-plagued rotation, but his job as a starter could be in jeopardy once Lance Cormier returns from the disabled list. His competition for the final starting spot, Kyle Davies, has posted a 4.50 ERA in his two starts without receiving a decision.

Braves sign manager Cox to one-year extension

Many of the players change, but Bobby Cox has been the constant for the Atlanta Braves. It will remain that way through the 2008 season

Aybar a no-show for Braves, suspended indefinitely
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Ate5yMw9f_Vg3totKDPpm0kR0bYF?slug=ap-braves-aybar&prov=ap&type=lgns]
Willy Aybar was suspended indefinitely by the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night after the utility infielder failed to report for their game against the Chicago Cubs.

We need this win to take some momentum into Shea for the weekend series. And lets thank god that Redman is pitching tonight meaning the Mets will get our top 3 Hudson, James and Smoltz.

Please Mark Redman, give me some confidence in our fifth starter. I have seen you do it, but prove it to all of us Bravos fans that you are worthy of a starting spot. Let's take care of business because a big series is going down in the Big apple. (no, not the yanks and sox)

Just hope our team doesn't look ahead of this game in anticipation of the Mets..

With Redman on the hill, our bats need to show up big time tonight.

Come on Scrubman! You can do it!

Hopefully our bats are as alive as they were last night.

Mark needs to turn things around tonight and start giving us a chance to win. I'm scared when he steps on the mound.

I'd rather have Villarreal starting until Cormier comes back.

Any idea when Cormier is due back. I know Bobby will give him a shot rather than sit there and look at Redman get lit up every fifth day.

Redman's not playing bad, but we have no batting help at the moment..

Redman doesn't give us a **** outting and we can't get a run. Rich Hill is good, but like the other pitchers that have owned the Braves this year, not that good.

Man Redmen did pretty well today, too bad other than kelly nobody showed..

Speaking of Kelly, he's making me eat my words day-by-day, guy is starting to look really good right now.

Wow your talking cuz your up by a half game. Way to early in the season for that. Hope your offense stays hot cuz you won't be facing blah blah blah like you did in Florida.

That makes two of us  The way the middle of the order is swinging right now, including Alou, I'm confident there will be some carry over. I'm not confident enough to say we'll continue to score in double digits but I like our chances to average 5 - 6 runs in this series - especially if Gonzales is injured and unable to pitch as reported.

Gonzalez not pitching could be big if the game is close but if our three starters pitch the way they have since the beginning of the season I can't see how Gonzalez will be missed.
