NEW YORK (AP) -- A 40-year-old man arrested at Shea Stadium on Friday night is accused of trying to distract an Atlanta Braves pitcher and shortstop with a high-powered flashlight.
Frank Martinez was charged with interference with a professional sporting event and second-degree reckless endangerment, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Saturday.

Typical of what or whom? Georgia has a higher per capita crime rate than New York.

This always happens when rivals are playing. Some moron just can't sit there and what the game always has to take it to the next level. It happens in every stadium not just NY.

Actually, New York has way more hate crimes per capita than GA does.

I think what happened @ Shea can easily be classified a hate crime

Actually I was speaking about crime in general. The poster's "Typical" remark insinuated that all New Yorkers are wont to commit criminal offenses - more so than people from say, Georgia. And I hope you were just joking with the "hate crime" comment. I mean, I get it but don't quit your day job

Just what kind of people are you letting into Shea stadium, other than crappy middle relievers?

That's it, yuck it up. The Braves are flying and the Mets (or Mutts as you guys like to say) are sinking.
Yet......there's only a half game difference in the standings. Go figure.
We'll meet again, grasshopper
