Gonzo on the 15 Day DL

Gonzalez, who missed the final five weeks of last season with tendinitis in his left elbow, isn't feeling any sort of discomfort. But the Braves want to take precaution in hopes that he's simply bothered by a dead arm.

I didn't realize his velocity was down so much last night.

I really hope this just requires some rest to fix.

Yeah, I seem to remember him being injured with Pittsburgh towards the end of last season with some elbow issue. Hopefully he just needs rest.

Yeah I believe he missed the last five weeks of last season.

Although I think its a pretty bad sign when your velocity just drops 10mph and you're not hurting.

He also hadn't pitched in a few days before last night.

Injuries are the only thing that will keep us from winning the NL East and more.

Great point. Hopefully Chipper can stay healthy this year and our bullpen remains strong.

As long as we don't lose 2 out of the 3 at the same time we'll be good. Wick came back looked solid and Sori has been excellent so far. We can afford for Gonzo to go down for 15 days.

Having Gonzo, Soriano AND Wickman when our 4-5 Starters are pitching is huge though.

Thats eactly why we should get concerned when one of our bullpen guys needs some rest. I want them here down the stretch so they can take all the time off they want early in the year.
