We don't need any more prospects, we need someone already proven to help us win a WS in the next two years.
Not saying that will happen, but thats what you can expect us to trade Salty for.

What about Clippard, the kid that started yesterday? instead of Rasner. The only reason I'm asking is because Posada is getting old and a free agent after the year. I'm thinking we resign him and play him at first next season

The only way Salty should get traded is if the Braves get a major league ready future ace in return. Other than that I'd rather see Salty's bat replace Andruw's in the lineup for next year at 1B.

Well, a proven ace is alot to ask for Salty. If we are going to trade him, which I'm not sold on, and we can get someone like Dontrelle - I'm all for it.

I'm all for trading Salty for a starting future ace already in the bigs working his way towards that, not necessarily established. Haren, Willis etc...

None of the those guys have near the potential that Salty has and will be when fully developed.

first of all it's Joba Chamberlain and hell no you don't trade him to Atlanta for a back up catcher right now.

Salty's ceiling is hardly a backup catcher.

Backup catcher that backs up an all star. Future all star can easily start for the yankees in a year.

not dissing Salty but the Yankees aren't going to have him as the # 1 catcher, Posada will be resigned and the pitcher in that deal when it is all said and done will produce more help than Salty will for a franchise.
Joba Chamberlain is a future ACE, he's borderline untradable no offense but I wouldn't do it.

His numbers don't show that even while at college. I live in the NY area and here enough about the Yanks and their prospects and this is the first time I here about this kid. No offense intended guess I will do research before shooting the deal down.

If Chamberlain is such a good prospect, then I don't see why a Yankees fan would want to trade him, especially for a prospect whose suppose to backup Posada?

Well I didn't realize Joba was that good. But my idea would be to switch Jorge to 1B next season.

I suggest you check what Joba is doing in the minors right now and how people are gushing about him right now.
