"Wild Card Race?"

Little early for that. I think we're actually closer to the division lead than the Wild Card.

I'm actually on the east coast now, so I will get to see how these west coast trips really are for regional braves fans.

Can anyone think of any platoon in the league better than the one we have in LF? It's a real shame we can't get both Diaz and Harris in the game.

Umm we could...if we bench Mr. 200 haha kidding. But i do wonder what would happen if Druw got benched? Would both those guys keep it up?

At this point I'm all for trying Harris in Center.

Andruw Jones won't be benched, no matter how much it would improve our team. Bobby Cox is loyal to a fault. It worked out for him last year keeping LaRoche in the game, hopefully we get a second half from Andruw similar to LaRoche's. Of course, LaRoche was at least hitting .260 the first half.

We better not bench AJ if we want any chance at resigning him during the off-season. I expect him to be generous to us. (ya right)

Who says we want to resign him after the he has played thus far? I know he isn't going to be benched, but if he continues at this pace he better give us a great discount or he'll be happily let go.

Anyways, nice to get a win. Felt we should have won last night too, but whatever. I just wish we could take advantage of the Mets losing more often. Every time they go on a losing streak we do too.

Smoltz is meeting with Team Dr's and most likely is headed back instead of staying with the team for the Padres series.

It was really dumb of Smoltz to call out Chipper when he has been missing starts all year.

I hope we can manage to tie the series up tonight before the San Diego series tomorrow.

Such a roller coaster of emotion watching the Braves. Good thing the Dodgers are so much worse in the field than we are. 3-4 absolutely terrible throws in the same inning. Scratch that. Andruw can't afford any errors with the way he's batting.

I can't agree more. Bobby has to be dieing as we speak!

The Mets won today so we really need to get this win behind us and focus on the upcoming series.

Great win and congrats to the new Atlanta Braves HR leader Chipper Jones.

I was glad Chipper got the record, especially in a winning effort.

This wasn't the greatest series for the Braves, but a road split against a potential playoff team is still pretty good. Hopefully the Braves can just struggle past some injuries and finish strong in San Diego before the break.
