Kyle Davies knows better than to criticize his manager publicly. But the Atlanta pitcher clearly did not agree with Bobby Cox's assessment that his location Monday was "way off the mark."

Cox pulled Davies after just 22 pitches against the Cincinnati Reds, the quickest he has ever pulled a pitcher who was not injured in his tenure as Atlanta's manager. Before Tuesday's game, Davies was adamant that his pitches were not all that bad.

"It wasn't like I was wild," Davies said. "I just missed. I didn't miss by a foot and a half. I missed four inches down."

You got pulled cause you were sucking. I don't care if you missed by 3 feet or by an inch. You weren't throwing strikes.

I'm not happy about Davies being so inconsistent.

Yeah really, I'm not happy about Davies being terrible.

Davies needs to grow some thicker skin because inconsistent starting pitching doesn't work real well in the Major Leagues. However, I did think it was a very quick hook by Bobby.

Notes: Davies moving to 'pen for awhile
Move isn't necessarily permanent; righty could start Sunday
