Game 3 worries me.

Chuck has been known to give up a homer or two.

Well hopefully it's not to Bonds.

We should win 3 out of 4.

4 very good things happened last night:

1. We won (most importantly)
2. Smoltz got the win
3. Soriano/Wickman were great
4. Bonds didn't hit any home runs

Let's just hope it continues for the rest of the season.

I also liked the work the bullpen did behind Smoltz. However, do we have to play Franco everyday? I would like to see Salty get more time down there.

Bobby wants Franco to get comfortable. I don't like the idea because he's only going to make mental mistakes for this team and now we have two players suffering since Franco was added. I don't agree with Bobby this time.

Hudson loses the shutout.
Hudson loses the complete game.
Wickman screws up.
Hudson gets a no decision.

Son of a bitch.

Extra innings. ****ing great.

Well our bullpen tried to lose this one (twice), but our offense kept it from happening.

Braves 7 - Giants 5

You know, how nice would it be to have Gonzo right now?

I bet we're going to make a move for Dotel.

I went to the game last night hoping to see Matt Morris making his last start for the Giants. When I left after the game, I still want the Braves to get Morris, but another bullpen arm is almost necessary if the Braves want to win the division.

Bob Wickman

I don't know if you guys watch the game on tuesday night but the Braves had a 4 run lead going into the 9th inning. They bring in Bob Wickman to close the game for them. Wickman ends up getting shelled for 4 runs!

A closer can not be blowing saves like that. A closer is a guy that you can trust to come in in the 9th inning to shut the opponet down and get you the win. The Braves ended up winning in the 13th inning but they wasted more pitching that they didn't have too. They are risking injury if you play more baseball too.

Yes. That is quite a dilemma the Braves have on their hands. Instead of possibly trying to trade Salty for Tex (as reported), they should be focusing their efforts on acquiring a front-line SP or reliever. What they do or don't do at the deadline will determine whether they make the post season.

Not really. We would make the post season without making any moves.

Wickman is so great at home but on the road he's horrible.

I feel for Timmy, I watched the entire game.

It was a dumb move by Bobby. The exact same thing happened against the Marlins earlier this year. Except we lost that game.
