Well, spending money certainly doesn't always equal winning, but I'm glad we're willing to be a player in the expensive free agent market.

Spending money does mean that we can go out and get pieces though who can help this team, like starting pitching.

even if we do raise the payroll, i still dont want to see us resign andruw....i'd like to see us spend the money we're getting by andruw's, hampton's, and wickman's contracts by resigning tex and then the raised money for pitching....like i said before i wanna see brandon jones in CF, or atleast in the OF somewhere i guess harris could play center

I like what I'm hearing, and I liked what I saw during the trade deadline.

This is starting to remind me of the good 'ol days of the '90s when we'd make big moves to get us in position to make a deep run down the stretch.
