At 49, Franco a picture of longevity

Franco turns a chiseled, resolute 49 Thursday, still doing what he can to stay in the game.
His family moved 15 times in 16 years as he chased a ball and a vision through the American and National Leagues, Japan, Korea and Mexico; to the New York Mets most of this season and last; back to the Braves in mid-summer; and ending, last week, in North Georgia.
