Tonights Game: September 19th
Turner Field | 7:35 PM ET
Daniel Barone, RHP (1-2, 5.01)
Marlins (65-86) @
Chuck James, LHP (10-10, 4.30)
Braves (78-73)
Scouting Report:
Marlins: Initially, Barone was in line to start on Thursday against the Mets. But instead, the team switched things up. The right-hander now is going in the series finale at Atlanta, while Willis will face the Mets on Thursday in South Florida. Barone will be making his five MLB start, and 14th appearance since being promoted from Triple-A Albuquerque. He has struck out 16 and walked 16 in 32 1/3 innings.
Braves: James has struggled to find any sort of consistency throughout the season and consequently given reason to once again believe he won?t survive in the Majors with just a fastball and changeup. The 25 year-old southpaw has surrendered a team-high 29 homers and at least one of those have come in each of his past eight starts. He lasted just three innings after being granted a three-run lead against the Nationals on Friday night and is 2-2 with a 6.88 ERA in his past seven starts.
