I pray he doesn't reenter our rotation.

He's not the answer, per se, but if we got him for cheap he'd be a boost to our starting rotation.

However, I would expect him to be #4 on the "ace chart" while the Braves went after another younger, big name pitcher. A rotation of Smoltz/Hudson/(some big name)/Glavine/James (or Hampton?) would be a MAJOR improvement over last season.

I wouldn't mind having Glavine on the Braves. Did you know that he has never been on the DL in his life. That is almost unheard of, that's just an incredible feat. He is also a 300 game winner so he will probably contribute to the win column for us.

He would have been our 3rd best starter this season. He's not the answer, but if we can get him for cheap there's no doubt he'll help a ton. We would have made the playoffs with him as our 3rd starter.

Turning down a 13 million dollar player option makes me believe he thinks he can get just as much if not more.

He'll quickly find out that he won't. I think it has more to do with getting out of New York than the money.

I also think it has a lot to do with that, but I wont be surprised if a team offers Tom 15 million, so it's far from being a done deal with Atlanta, and many people have their heart set on him returning.

Even at the Hawks open practice today I talked to a few different people about it and one of them even thinks he's going to accept less money to play for us.
