trade villarreal, thorman, and yates if we can to anywhere for some pitching prospects
sign mike lamb (2 yr/5 mil)
(i don't like the glavine idea, especially if we trade renteria)

IMO this offseason would be awesome, thats a very solid team....

Ok, I don't think the A's would do that trade and I don't want to trade Yates. If his innings are limited, I think he is an important part of the bullpen. I do like the ideas of working on extensions for Tex and Frenchy and I really like putting Jones in center next year. Its better than adding some marginal veteran.

The main goal for this offseason has to be deciding which of our young players can play and if they can, bring them up and use the money for proven veterans when needed. Lets learn from Mondesi and Craig Wilson and stop signing players for a job our young kids can do.

i totally agree with that, which is why i put jones in CF and devine and acosta in the pen, which both have proven they can pitch in the bigs so that makes yates expendable....after losing all those pitching prospects at the deadline that we had in the minors, we need to add some more now....devine can take yates' place and acosta can take villarreal's place....

and like i said, they all have to start somewhere....
