Trades. Baseball has seen a decline in blockbuster deals the past couple of years as clubs have hoarded talent and kept high-dollar vets, and parity has gripped the standings. Atlanta dealing Renteria to Detroit for a couple of prospects hints at a possible swap meet. Florida is expected to take offers for All-Stars Miguel Cabrera and lefty Dontrelle Willis. Former Cardinal Dan Haren could be moved by Oakland.
"The move by Atlanta and Detroit showed you the direction that this market is going to go," Towers said. Added Colletti: "At the GM meetings you're going to see people spend time laying the groundwork for deals."

I think the Marlins could acquire serious talent from trading Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. Although Dontrelle might not of had a good year last season, he still is a quality pitcher who can throw pretty hard and has a good breaking ball.

He's also one of the best hitting pitchers in the MLB, which doesn't mean much, but still makes him a little more valuable.

He is an innings eater and a good starter for a team looking for a #2 or #3. Dontrelle should bounce back in a lesser role on any other team in baseball.
