The team will now start Monday-Thursday home night games at 7:10 p.m. The move is from the 7:35 p.m. start time from last season, and Friday night games will continue to start at that time. The Braves home opener, Monday, March 31, against the Pirates will begin at the new time. Most Saturday home games will also start at 7:10 p.m.
Sunday home games will move a half hour later and now start at 1:35 p.m.
"We've done an extensive amount of research, polling fans - especially season-ticket holders - and they have told us that they want earlier starts Monday-Thursday," Braves senior vice president of sales and marketing Derek Schiller said in a story posted on the team's website.
The Braves' first two home Saturday games of the season - April 5 against the Mets and April 19 against the Dodgers - will be carried on FOX and begin at 3:55 p.m.
