J-Roll's Team To Beat

Looks like J-Hole is totally discounting the Brave's chances to compete this year. He thinks it's only going to be a two team race. IMHO, I think they might finish 3rd - I'm more concerned with ATL than Philly. They just don't have the pitching and they lost a key contributor from last year in Rowand. To me 1-8, the Braves have the best offense in the East IF they stay healthy

I see what you're doing, and its going to take more than that for most of us to play nice.
I actually am pretty worried about our offense. I can see Yunel regressing a little bit and Kotsay being terrible.

Hey, I thought I'd at least offer the olive branch
Seriously though, it doesn't get much better than Larry, Tiex, Francour, and McCann. Great power, balance and outside of Francour, plate discipline. Diaz is not a bad 7 hole hitter either.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him in RF for the Mets - he's a legit offensive force but he doesn't strike me as the most selective hitter.

Not going to happen my friend, Yunel is a beast and will finally shut up every single critic whoever said well he cant do that for a whole season. Bank it.

I really like Yunel, but I bet you he doesn't put up the the same numbers and certainly not better than Edgar did last year.
I hope I'm wrong and he bats .350 though.

I doubt he'll hit in the .330 range again, but over an entire season I definitely see him over .300. Kid has insane discipline at the plate. He looks like he's been juicing though. His neck is huge on his MLB.com profile.

Well I sure have high hopes for Yunel this season. And like High 5 said he's got great plate discipline which is really hard to come by in young hitters. Usually young hitters go up to the plate swinging at everything, but Yunel is mature far beyond his years and hope he fills Edgar's shoes well this season.

Very true. Yunel fits in with this team much better than Edgar did.
