Due to the lack of traffic on the forum will have one thread to cover all the games during the 2008 season. Feel free to create any game threads within this one for any series the Braves will have. I hope the few of us try to make the best of this forum and make it as active as possible.

So our defense hasn't helped tonight, but this bullpen isn't looking very good so far.

And this homeplate ump isn't helping any.

Yea and the thing is we let the lead slip out of our hands. We had a problem with that last year a little bit, once we jump out ahead of a team we just have a problem with slamming the door shut and piling on the runs. Really, all that comes down to is focus. We play so relaxed after we are on top, we need to have that same intensity that we play with when we come out on the field in the first inning, same goes with our pitchers and especially the bullpen who really needs to slam the door shut!

At least Glavine and Hudson looked good in their starts.

I hope Tex decides to show up sometimes soon.

Great point, but I really do beleive in Tex, which if you don't your crazy because we all saw what he did last year with all of the pressure of a new team on his shoulders. He just needs to relax a little bit and he settle in at the plate.

And yes, Glavine and Hudson did look good I just can't wait to see Smoltz in action. I sure hope he can stay healthy for atleast 1 more solid season.

We needed the rain out. It gave the pen a rest.

Chance the game could rain out again today.

Another game against the Mets, another win. :D I'm looking forward to Smoltz/Santana. Hopefully Smoltz is ready to go.

It's sad that the season just started and we are already dealing with this problem. It's going to be a problem all year considering our starts don't eat innings.

Yeah, and bull-pen has not been very successful here in the early goings of the year.

Well to me the main problem was the Hampton fiasco. He made us have to go straight to the pen in that game. It also doesn't help they we are having to go into extra innings.

I think reyes will help us. By having a lrp in the pen allows us to throw him in there if needed to start and he can pitch 6 innings or so, or if a guy gets rocked he can pitch innings as well.

Smoltz just bent them over today. That was a great way for him to start the season. If this team stays healthy I think we should make it out of the NL. I like our lineup and starters against anyone. Hampton pitching any is a bonus. Gonzalez coming back and pitching as well as he did before the injury would be HUGE.

Oh, and much love to Teixeira. He saved our asses today.

The bullpen came through today, good work by them. Smoltzy was straight NASTY.

Good to see Tex show up today.
