Boston Herald - The following players and pitchers were not seen at the optional workout: David Ortiz, Coco Crisp, Julio Lugo, Jonathan Papelbon, Hideki Okajima, Daisuke Matsuzaka, Manny Delcarmen, Eric Gagne and Tim Wakefield.

WEEI was saying part of that was a media portion that I'd assume most players did not want to deal with. Just because they were not seen does not mean they didn't do anything as well.

As for Ortiz he just needs to stay off his knee as much as possible.

Its an optional workout, hence its option. I don't care if they didn't show up
