A-Rod wants Boston? Would you want him on the Red Sox?

Post#1 » by HDMAVS760CA » Mon Nov 5, 2007 5:39 am

As reported on the yahoo.com recently, A-Rod has a no.1 choice of where he'd like 2 go & that's the Red Sox. Would you want him on the Sox? A yes or no. And you can give reasons why or why not. The link below has proof of this. And there's comments on fans mainly not wanting him on the Sox.

I want him. Not for 300 million dollars, though. He's the best player in baseball, but he would improve the Red Sox from a 96-100 win team to a 100-104 win team or something like that. Not really worth 30 million bucks for that.

He'd be a lot more valuable to a team that isn't already awesome.

I would love to have him. His past is all forgiven. He is simply the best player in the league. He can play shortstop if we can get Lowell back.

I voted hell no, since he's going to be expensive. If the Sox could somehow retain Lowell and sign A-rod, then un-load Crisp + Lugo for some pitching they'd be ridiculous. Imagine having to face 3-6 of Ortiz, Ramirez, A-rod, and Lowell. God damn!

Not for the money he wants. I'd rather him just go to another team than pay him that much.

The problem with ARod in Boston is that, if this were another team

For the money he is asking? No way. Now, if he wanted to stick it to the Yankees and "settle" for 20mil/year. Sure, why not. I do hate him though.

ditto. not for the money he'll be wanting. but if "reasonable" and "arod" could fit into the same sentence as "signs with the red sox" i'd be all for it. so i'll say unsure

Exactly. If he were willing to sign a reasonable deal, say 5/100, then I would jump on that in a heartbeat. I'd forgive his douchebaggery without question. But he won't sign that deal so it's a moot point. For me, it's all about not working financially and not his douchebag personality. mahalo
