The difference between Beckett and Daisuke is that Beckett's was stuff. He didn't throw his change very often and when he did, it was at 90 MPH. He could have been lit up by a AAA team last year. While Daisuke has had issue with his stuff as well, he was sick during the Texas start and it was visible that he shouldn't be out there, and as BBJ shows, two of his other starts that he was lit up was by top 5 offenses and the Yankees were rolling when they lit him up as well. The only mulligan he really has is against the M's. His stuff has been a bit inconsistent but he was facing the Devil Dogs every week, you won't notice because his stuff is still good enough to roll over that team. Two completely different scenarios. mahalo
