ohhh Delcarmen...you threw me off with the T. Now don't try and blame a typo, because T and N are pretty far away on the keyboard.

Trust me, I know my prospects. As a matter of fact, Jacoby is my favorite player and he isn't even on the sox yet for christ's sake.

But the production that Helton would give us isn't near the production that we've been getting from Lowell and Youk. Lowell and Youk have been more productive than Manny and Ortiz this season so far...why mess that up AND give up two pitchers who will be great for years to come for one maybe two years of Helton?

We need a shortstop or a Centerfielder...not a first basemen...Youk has been playing gold glove caliber first base and batting very well.

I will concur with Chach that this guy has an IQ lower than George Bush.

The Yankees are not going to get Helton. End of story.

lol that was a terrible cover up. In your first post you seemed to think Delcarmen and Delcarment were two different prospects. You asked "who are these prospects delcarment? delcarmen?"

And Now you are claiming "trust me, I know my prospects". Yet in your first post you said "I guess I haven't been following the minors to well."

But I agree with the rest of the stuff you said. Heltons a great player but lets not mess up what's working.

I don't think we need a shortstop or center fielder yet though. I have faith in Crisp and Lugo.

I think you should check out the forum a bit more. HellSox has been around for a bit and while I don't seem to see him that much lately, he does seem to know his ****. His comment was obviously tongue in cheek. mahalo

The offense is running well and under performing at the same time. Drew, Lugo, and Coco are all going to hit better than they have been so when Youk and Lowell and Pedroia come back to earth, things will even out. All this team really needs is another solid reliever and some good luck and we are playing in October. mahalo

Don't buy it. I think Pedroia will finish with a pretty good year, but there really is no sign of Lugo or Crisp coming around. These slumps extend all the way back to last year. If they do I'm the happiest guy around, but its looking iffy at the moment.

I think Drew will turn it around some, but not enough to justify the $14 million we threw his way.

Both Crisp and Lugo had hand/finger problems last season. So I understand the down numbers then. Now I have no clue?

Lugo's always been a marginal player; this should come as no surprise.

Lugo IS a marginal player, but right now he is playing like the worst player in the majors. He'll definitely improve and probably by quite a bit (how can he not?).

Is it surprising he isn't hitting .320 with a .410 OBP and .900 OPS? Not at all, he is just an average player. But I disagree completely that him playing THIS bad should come as no surprise. It is certainly surprising to me.

the first post was 100% sarcasm pointing out that no one had spelled Delcarmen right. You spelled it Decarlmen and then the other guy added a T at the end. Simply poking fun at the mispelling

Chach seems to be taking alot of crap, but I will say...he knows what he's talking about. He's not an idiot because he doesn't agree with your statement...get over it.

You don't have to show signs of coming out of it to actually come out of it, their natural talent suggests that they are better than this. Coco was a decent offensive threat in Cleveland and Lugo has a stretch of like two good years in Tampa where he was above average. Both are playing like AAAA players right now. So it's only natural to believe that they will improve their play and rise to league average rather than Royals average.

But I'm ready to promote Ellsbury on July 1st and make Coco the speed option off the bench unless he starts hitting better. mahalo
