out of curiousity, what kind of player would JD Drew be if he actually cared about baseball?

Unbelievable, looks like we are going to get swept. Does anyone really have confidence in Schilling's 88 MPH fastball against an offense like the Yankees?

All we needed to do was win 1 game, but I guess that was too much to ask for.

Oh look, another cheap hit for the Yankees.

Whenever you're down in the dumps just think it could be worse: you could be Kyle Farnsworth

His bat, for whatever reason, has sucked this year. Drew is an .890ish OPS guy for his career, he had an 1.145 OPS with 6 homers last year in September and helped put his team in the playoffs. I don't give a **** **** how hard he appears to be trying if he'd produce that way.

Youk.

Here comes the Sandman. Hopefully Crisp can do something here. I know he had a big triple against him earlier in the year.

So I've noticed this Rivera guy is pretty good, too bad Torre couldn't have let Farnsworth pitch to one more batter.

Why can't we just put the division away? Why not just once? :banghead:

This is much more fun, don't you think?

Crush the White Sox and build up a nice lead, then go to Yankee stadium and play like a bunch of **** pussies for three games.

I like it. Keep up the good work, Red Sox.

a cheap ass triple.
So, cmaff, did you find all the cheap hits the Yankees got "disgusting" (like you were when the Red Sox got about half as many cheap hits against the Angels as the Yankees got tonight) while Clemens posted a .058 BAPIP tonight? :D

I even acknowledged in the Yankee game thread that we got cheap hit after cheap hit off of Beckett today during the first few innings. His last few innings we were hitting him hard though.

Clemens is a crafty veteran and Beckett is a gunslinger.

It's clear that the Red Sox can't hit against good pitching.

And oh yes, JD Drew still sucks.
