Go Sox.

I'm anxious to see if the Sox lineup will wake up. Individual guys like Lowel, Peds, Manny are doing fine, but as a whole the offense hasn't gotten going. It just seems like we are leaving to many guys on base. Tek and Crisp have been horrid, they combined for something like 2 for 21 in the KC series. I wonder how Julian will fair in his first start and if Schill will be able to bounce back

A man after my own heart! I was hoping they were going to let WMP play RF this year instead of signing JD drew to $15 mil a year.

I predict a loss today. Wakefield totally sucks vs. the Rangers (ERA over 6 in a not-so-small sample size) so unless we put 7 runs up on the board...we may be in trouble. Of course, these things can always change from start to start.

I just found today's Texas lineup and updated it. Why the **** do they hit Ian Kinsler 9th? Ridiculous.

^Have you seen the rest of our lineup? That's why

He's also probably second fastest on our team

Oh, and you guys don't even KNOW about leaving guys on base or in scoring position until you've watched the Rangers play. We are the best at leaving guys on, so don't even

That's a good thing, though. That means you score lots of runs and have lots of guys on base.

So don't even. So safan.

Time for the bats to wake up. Wakefield has settled down and is pitching well but getting no run support.

Wakefield doing everything what the Red Sox need from him, but our offense?!? Geeez...

Did this happen last year where Wakefield started off well and got zero offensive support and then Beckett would go out and throw up all over the baseball diamond and the Sox would score like 9 runs for him?

Or am I imaging and exaggerating things a bit?

Man, watching Mirabelli at the plate is just painful... PAINFUL!

First Gil Meche and now Robinson Tejeda... what is going to happen when we face real good pitchers?!? Being shut out by a guy like that should be a reason for concern...

A lot of first pitch outs for the Sox today. Ugly game from the offense. Wake looked real good and the pen again was solid.

Except it's only one game. Even Bud Smith has a no-hitter to his credit.

But yeah, horrible showing by the offense. But that's what's great about baseball--tomorrow they could score 12 runs and everyone will be all excited.

if it makes you feel better tejedas last 63 and a third innings he's only given up 14 earned runs and just 7 ER in his last 44.

good start for the red sox. A run in the first and a 1-2-3 inning for julian "the psycho" tavarez.

Well, Tavarez is flaming out. Awful 3rd. I guess it could've been worse. Come on Lester.
