Manny

The Sox have played roughly a little over 1/4 of their games (44) and Manny is currently hitting under .240 with 6 homers and 25 RBI's. Now, granted thats a pace for 25 HR and 100 RBI's, but those simply aren't Manny numbers. A player like Manny doesn't go through a two month slump stretch. I really think Manny's prime is behind him and he is starting to slide, big time. The Sox could get Michael Cuddeyer or someone else to put up 25/100. Manny isn't worth 19 million. There is no chance in hell the Sox pick up his option.

I agree Manny's numbers are a bit down this season. But over his career he's a second half player. I still think he breaks out soon enough.

He better. With the exception of Youk and Lowell, most of the offense is in a slump. Drew, Manny, Crisp, Lugo... all dreadful
