I was reading about trick pitches the other day and decided to search for the eephus pitch on youtube and found this gem.

Also: El Duque throws a schoolyard/roundhouse curve, not an eephus. Silly Yankees color guys.

yeah i tried to find a video of that too. I guess it's called the "fossum flip". Supposibly it gets below 50 mph sometimes.

Dave LaRoche - dad of Adam and Andy, used to throw a 35MPH one called "LaLob".

I'm really surprised more pitchers don't use it. It's worth using once a game. They aren't going to get all of it, and if they do, they'll probably pull it foul by a mile. It's a very effective pitch. If you don't expect it, you wont hit it hard. You'll buckle right up.

Bill Lee used to throw one. He threw one once in the late innings against the Tigers in Fenway. The Tigers were losing and apparently the batter thought he was shown up. The guy charged the mound. True story. I saw it live on T.V.

I always love to use the Eephus pitch in video games. The computer can't hit it.

What baseball video games have the eephus pitch? I've played many baseball games and i've never seen the pitch in any of them.
