Delcarmen delightful in big spot

On a nail-biting night of near-misses and squandered opportunities by the Red Sox [team stats], Manny Delcarmen took full advantage of his brief chance to help the Sox get a badly needed win.

Delcarmen has not thrown a lot of pitches for the Red Sox this season, and none was nearly as important or dramatic as the 96 mph, full count fastball with which he fanned Texas slugger Sammy Sosa with the bases loaded in the seventh inning last night.

Stop quoting so much of every article. It's not really allowed and it's really annoying.

So what's the thread about? Can you give your own opinions on anything? I can read the news articles at my own will.

Delcarmen is pretty much Mike Timlin's replacement. Timlin is now basically in the scrub role and Delcarmen could pitch his way into a 7th inninng setup role. However, i dont' trust MDC. I feel we need another power arm in the bullpen.

The future is in good hands...
"The guy is an idiot," Pedroia said regarding Cabrera. "I dropped my bat. It kind of freaked me out. I was upset they took him out of the game. He is good to hit. He's 9-15. The guy [stinks]."
