I suppose with Bailey being a right hander he makes some sense. Although I don't know how much better he would be than Hinske just going against the lefties. I'm still surprised the Sox have never given Pena a shot at first.

I would imagine they have during practice/spring training and such, but must not like what they saw, which is scary given his outfield exploits.

ummm what Jeff Bailey era, they will be up here for like 3 games and then back down to the minors were he will most likely spend the rest of his career. I turned on the TV and saw we were down 8-1. Darn.

I've always read that they haven't even given him much time there in Spring Training.

Typical performance by the '07 Red Sox offense. Almost 20 guys reach base but they gag with RISP and only 2 runs through 12 innings.

Wow, a 13 inning loss, so many squandered chances, Manny is dreadful. I'm pissed right now, we should have won this game

I guess we can call this guy "Homer" Bailey now, huh...huh? Ah forget it.

Seriously though, good to see him and lugo go back to back.

Yeah, but we still got swept and I'm pissed. Manny's taking off early again, and has taken more off days this week than games he played in.
