I looked at his stats the other day they looked pretty good. From what I remember... .294, 9 Hrs, 50 some odd RBI.
After Bailey (who is probably just up here for insurance with Youk) who will be the next call-up? It coudl possibly be a pitcher. Anyone know Lester's timetable? I'd like to see Buchholz but I doubt he makes a double jump up to here anytime soon. An outside shot in September, but I doubt anything now, unless we are really going to do an overhaul and evaluate all out minor league talent at the major league level.
Who do you think is our best outfield prospect or will have the best chance to be wearing a Boston uniform for years to come? We are obviously disproportioned with better outfield prospects than infielders. We are obviously going to deal one or two of them because there just isn't room for them all up here. As we saw with Jacoby and Murphy, some of these guys are closer to ready than I expected. Your thoughts?
So will Brandon Moss be the next call-up?

Jacoby will probably be called back up. He was sent down 1)to called up Bailey as insurance for Youk this weekend and 2)so Jacoby can go to the Futures Games (he couldn't do that being on the 25 man roster). This is, of course, if Manny/Ortiz are still hurting a bit. If Jacoby isn't going to get steady ABs, it will likely be a pitcher. If he's going to get some steady at bats with Manny resting and Ortiz resting/Manny DHing, then he'll get the call.
Jacoby will be in our starting OF next season. Either Manny or Coco will be gone. There is a shot that Moss could be the 4th OF next year (he can't be any worse than WMP) so if that happens, it's a good idea to give Jacoby some serious burn this year, get him used to the majors, so you won't have two rookies playing a major role in the OF. mahalo

So you think Murphy will be traded in the next year or something?

I don't think it will be Jacoby and I'm pretty sure it won't be Moss. Our outfield production has been excellent recently and we could use another pitcher on the roster whether it is Donnelly and/or Pineiro returning from the DL or Breslow being called up.
Bailey is only up because Youkilis is hurt, there are (were) 2 lefties going this series for Detroit, Bailey hit lefties well in the minors and Hinske blows against lefties.
