The Yankee Perspective: Dustin Pedroia Scares Me To Death

As a Yankees fan, I'm excited about the future of the franchise. But, there are a few things that I'm not to prepared for when the future players develop for the Red Sox.

The first thing about the Sawx that scares the crap outta me is Dustin Pedroia. Before long Yankee pitchers will have to deal with this guy being a 20+ HR, 90+ RBI threat that will develop tremendous power for a 2B his size.

He is also quickly becoming one of the best defensive second basemen in the AL.

Coming from a Yankees fan.... I'm having trouble thinking about the future of the AL East.

We'll see. The guy hits the **** out of the ball despite his size, but I don't ever see him having 20 HR power. I can see him as a 10 HR, 40-50 doubles guy but not much more. That still would be great considering he'll hit for a high average with how he almost never K's and the awesome OBP he'll put up throughout his career.

The future of the AL East is pretty damn good, especially if Tampa ever decides to spend some money. A Kazmir-Price-Shields (cut down on the homers, James) top 3 will be very good in the future and their offense is insanely talented, just needs time to develop.

The Yankees and Red Sox both have loaded farm systems and will be the top spenders; a real good combo for success. Both are stacked with young pitching as well. The next 10+ years of baseball should be good.

jeez, after last season you didn't even consider him a top 20 prospect in our system. I'm glad you came around

Could you fill me in on this kid? I don't pay much attention to the Sawx system... just the players that are on the field now.

Well, he sucked last season. Now he's in AA and dominating.

If Pedroia has a Bobby Grich-like career, I will be a happy man.
