It says the orioles are going to put them on waivers in hope of getting a deal done. I think Patterson would be a great pickup for the playoffs and both Payton and Millar would strengthen our bench a bit.

No, no and no. And everyone goes on waivers.
Not one of these players is a) useful for the Red Sox or b) good at baseball.
Corey Patterson is an abysmal baseball player. Payton is even worse and obviously there is animosity between he and the Red Sox. And Kevin Millar? Yeah, they really need a DH/LF who hits like a catcher.

okay the only thing abysmal about this topic is our bench. None of these players would be useful? Well our bench has no speed and Corey Patterson would give us speed. He has stolen 27 bases this season. Millar is hitting far better then anyone on our bench. 384obp .441slg and a .272ba with 10 hr's and 46 rbi's, would also be nice to have off the bench.

jacoby ellsbury>>>patterson in every way and we dont have to add him to the 40 man roster or give up anything for him
Brandon Moss would be a very good alternative to Kevin Millar
