Bobby Kielty vs LHP:

Career: .299/.382/.518 (760 PA)

Excellent stuff.

Solid move, now they need to find a taker for Pena. His Sox days are now numbered.

Nice move. On ESPN First Take they said keilty has the option to get out of his contract if he is in the minors for more then a week. But they also reported, that keilty said he would not do that.

Pena made it through waivers today, so he can be traded.

What a mistake it is to let his potential go. The Red Sox rather pay 75 million for J.D.Drew instead of finding a spot for Pena... :noway:

The Sox knew Pena was garbage, thats why the signed Drew. Their intention was to make Pena a starter this year, but they looked at his defense struggles last year and realized they couldn't trust Wily Mo out. Lets not forget about the strikeouts and inability to hit a curveball. If the Sox trade Arroyo for Pena so Pena could be a backup outfielder i might go up to Boston and kick Theo's ass all over the place myself.

Pena is still very young. Drew hasn't done anything to justifiy his signing yet. Sure, switching leagues is tough but still, saying we would be worse with Pena out there everyday instead of Drew... well, I don't know. Pena also would get better with more ABs. As it is now, he is just a wasted talent.
